What is a Sentence?
A sentence is a group of words that expresses a complete thought.句子是一个能表达完整主题的词汇组。A sentence must contain asubjectand apredicate. The subject must contain a noun or nominal word, and the predicate must contain a verb. A sentence can be as simple as a noun and a verb.一个句子必须包含主语和谓语。主语必须包含一个名词或名词性单词，谓语必须包含一个动词。最简单的就是一个名词+一个动词"的简单句。Example:Birds fly. 鸟儿飞The subject can contain more than a noun, and the predicate can contain more than a verb主语可以包含不止一个名词，谓语可以包含不止一个动词。Example:Migratory birds fly to Florida.迁徙的鸟儿飞往佛罗里达。
In the above example, the subject contains an adjective (migratory) and a noun (birds), and the predicate contains a verb (fly), a preposition (to), and a direct object (Florida).在上面的例子中，主语包含一个形容词（迁徙的）和一个名词（鸟儿），谓语包含一个动词（飞翔）、一个介词（到）和一个直接宾语（佛罗里达）。
